Normalize

Context & Purpose

• Normalize generates normalized distributions for the Probability Tables or Conditional Probability Tables of the selected nodes.

Usage

• In the Modeling Mode, select one or more nodes.
• Node Context Menu > Probabilities > Normalize.
  • Normalize produces a distribution that sums to 100 so that it reflects the relative weight of the original values in the cells.
  • For instance, if the original values in the cells were ${1, 2, 3}$, the new normalized distribution would be ${16.667, 33.333, 50.000}$.
