Associate Data Source

Context

  • This menu item opens a data file, typically in CSV format, or connects to a database to attach a new dataset to an existing network that is currently open in the Graph Window.

  • Upon selecting the source, the Data Import Wizard launches to associate the new dataset to the existing network.

  • Text Once the file is read and the pre-processing done, a fully unconnected network is created in a new graph window, each attribute having one corresponding node. The range of Bayesian network Learning Algorithms now becomes available.

  • Database Once the database table is loaded and the pre-processing done, a fully unconnected network is created in a new graph window, each attribute having one corresponding node. The set of Bayesian network Learning Algorithms now becomes available.

  • Recent Databases Keeps a list of the recently opened datasets. The Data Import Wizard is directly opened on the selected file. The size of this list can be modified through the settings Menus.
